Just a day

Before we bid good bye to year 2008!!! How fast the year has flown.
I hope to see the end of my Peacock atleast in the year 2009. I have been working on it almost daily the last few weeks, if only putting in a stitch or two. I will post a picture of my progress soon.
I am already thinking of my next project. I have accumulated quite a bit of stash over the years. My stash mostly consists of patterns and charts. I do have a couple of kits that I ordered online. I have never worked on any ornament. So, most probably, my next project would be an ornament.

WIP

I finally managed to take a picture of my WIP - the peacock.
After seeing various blogs, I found everybody work on the picture from the top, using all colours at the same time. I have so far worked one colour at a time. Is there a reason why working all colours at a time is better? Or is it just preferences?
Would love to hear your comments

Absolutely no stitching

I have not been stitching at all since my last post. Have been really busy with my brother's wedding preparations and then the wedding itself. Will post a pic once I have them.
My WIP now is a picture of a peacock. I got this design from a book by Carol Philip called "Designs from India". Will post a pic of my WIP ASAP.

My first post

I finally managed to sit down to write my first post in my own blog. The main reason for my having started this blog is to keep my cross stitch going. I have not been able to stitch as much as I would like to the last 4 years. I try to atleast manage a few stitches during weekends. Hope the blog keeps me inspired to take on more projects and finish them on time.
