I finally managed to take a picture of my WIP - the peacock.After seeing various blogs, I found everybody work on the picture from the top, using all colours at the same time. I have so far worked one colour at a time. Is there a reason why working all colours at a time is better? Or is it just preferences?

I use different techniques: with simple disigns I usually finish one lenth of the thread and then goes the color which is closer to the first one. And I prefer to stitch with many colors when the design is more complicated - it's easier to count and the crosses lie better.
